The initial dream van becomes reality - 2014 Toyota Sienna SE purchase

So after I got the sobering news that my previa will be considered totaled. We went to Dublin to a Toyota dealership. Tony W, VanKulture member, gave my info to one of his friends and in return told me they would help me out. My wife wanted a 7 seater. But she didn't want a van. She wanted a small SUV. We looked at a new Mitsubishi Outlander, but it was a small, cramped 7 seater. ---------------------------------------------- Anyways, we went to Dublin Toyota and saw some Siennas. A 2014 Silver Sienna SE caught my eye. I loved it... She test drove it and then she went for the chat with the the salesperson. --------------------------------------------------- Besides a few things I want to address, we got a Sienna!!! -------------------- The Previa was my family vehicle. The AC wasn't barely working and at times the AC pump was so taxing on the motor, it would occasionally shut of the van. So I needed to figure that out, but it wasn't the most comfo

3 strikes... unlucky. Previa crash.

In the summer of 2016, someone ran a red light and the person in front of me slammed on the brakes and subsequently, I did too with also rear ending her. My insurance saw the videos and went after the guy... so it became partial fault. -------------------------------------------------------------------- May 2017 - I picked up my JDM parts in Japan! I got Estima tail lights, but couldn't get the grill. Additionally, got versions of the Estima headlights. I was planning on putting them on, but decided to hold off until I can make my van look better. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ August 2017 - While waiting to turn left, a huge tractor trailer truck (semi truck with long trailer) was making a left turn where I was. He was trying to make a tight turn, so to help out, I backed up to give him space. Even after all that effort, the rear edge of the trailer contacted my rear quarter panel and make a dent/scratch. W

Toyota Previa - Shifting issues and bad catalytic converter.

A few months back, I kept hearing this rattling. I didn't know how to explain it, but something was shaking. Shortly after, the transmission would take longer to shift.  --------------------- I actually thought it was the transmission, so I contacted the guys who built my transmission. He said to bring it in and he will take a look. It was about time to service the transmission anyway. It has been broken in and slight seeping of the transmission pan gasket. So it would flushed and redone. Again, Bayshore Transmission did an awesome job.  He said the transmission was not the issue. It was the catalytic converter.  -------------------------------------------------- So while my catalytic converter didn't throw a code, all the stuff in the older one was breaking down. and obstructing flow. Which in turns affects the shifting. So I had to pay some extra cash for that to be taken cared of.
