Okay. So while I like to keep grounded about getting things and don't really want to "wishfully think" about items, but I figure I mind as well put out my hit list or wish list.
Recently I found a cool box... How in the world and all the sequence of events that led one from Canada to the Bay area, where it laid in a junkyard before I stumbled up on it... is beyond me.
But the fact that I randomly found one blew my mind. It was one of those "wishful thinking" items.
With that said, why not entertain this fantasy, yeah?
First off, I like OEM options in my van or at least something that is meant for the Previa.
While right now, I like my Previa how it is, I do wish I had some JDM goodies.
Note: this list is in no particular order.
1. JDM body kits... Or any body kit for that matter! There are some pretty cool body kits, but that also entails of lowering the van.
I am actually a body kit person and have always love the idea of making a vehicle look different.
With JDM body kits, the sliding door is on the opposite side, so the lower panels have to be modified to fit the US spec previa.
With many of these kitted Previas, fog lights are offered, which is definitely a plus to me. I tried to put some ES300 fog lights on my bumper, only to find out that the housing hits a tow hitch on one side and blocks the intercooler on the other side.
On the other hand, the 98-00 Estima Aeras OEM body panels are just as clean as any aftermarket pieces!!!
OEM too, so fitment and manufacturing will be better as well.
2. Down that same line, the 98-00 headlights and tail lights.
I do like these and I hope in the future, I will get a set or 2.
They just have that updated look to them.
I am a fan of blacked out headlights. I just think they make the housing look awesome.
With the newer headlight style, the grill and the lower panel between the bumper and headlights also has to be changed out. (image found on vipstyledcars).
3. With those headlights, an aftermarket grill is about right. Ken Style Grill is my choice. There are others out there, maybe some with similar style, but I just love the aggressive look and eyelids it offers the headlights.
4. Toyota door visors/rain guards.
Got this picture of Toyotanation.com. Another member got non OEM ones which were even darker.
5. OEM Roof Rails - 2 options.
I made a post (http://reactionprevia.blogspot.com/2015/10/oem-roof-racks-for-dual-sunroof-previas.html) about the OEM roof rails for the dual sun/moon roof previas. The US never got them, but folks in the UK did. With that said, I would love to have a set or 2 (always liked having a spare for some reason).
Dual sunroof OEM roof racks/rails.
The other option is the Aeras' rack. Now, initially, I did not like them... But they certainly grew on me and I saw them on my friend's previa and it is pretty cool looking.
The rack connects in the back
Quick note: The rear spoiler is aftermarket (I believe) and it hits the brake light on the rack.
The rack is more aerodynamic and rounds out in the back with a brake light.
Additionally, I like that back up mirror.
6. Back up mirror. See picture above (not a must though)
7. Terzo ladder. Now, I know what you are thinking. Why? In all honesty, it is about the piece itself that adds to the van. When we look at van tuning, I've seen 2 paths. That VIP path (such as Van Kulture) and Off road path (typically for All-tracs that are lifted). Either way, people put storage boxes on top... and a Terzo ladder would be functional.
Not only that, the ladder is also old school.
I like it a lot!!!
